Track Name: St James Infirmary
St. James Infirmary - Traditional

I went down to St. James Infirmary
To see my baby there,
She was lyin' on a long white table,
So sweet, so cool, so fair.

Went up to see the doctor,
"She's very low," he said;
I went back to see my baby
Good God! She's lying there dead.

I went down to old Joe's barroom,
On the corner by the square
They were serving the drinks as usual,
And the usual crowd was there.

On my left stood old Joe McKennedy,
And his eyes were bloodshot red;
He turned to the crowd around him,
These are the words he said:

Let her go, let her go, God bless her;
Wherever she may be
She may search the wide world over
And never find a better man than me

Oh, when I die, please bury me
In my ten dollar Stetson hat;
Put a twenty-dollar gold piece on my watch chain
So my friends'll know I died standin' pat.

Get six gamblers to carry my coffin
Six chorus girls to sing me a song
Put a twenty-piece jazz band on my tail gate
To raise Hell as we go along

Now that's the end of my story
Let's have another round of booze
And if anyone should ask you just tell them
I've got the St. James Infirmary blues

Enough Time - Eliza Acty

I know you’ve got mountains to climb,
Landslides that knock you back down.
Just wait for the weather to change,
I’ll be there when you come back around.

Turn around and look to the skies,
Breathe in that cold winter air,
Clear that head of yours and realise,
There will always be enough time.

It may feel like you’ve slowed down,
Moving like a frozen river,
Your worries will soon break away,
And sights become ever clearer.

Turn around and look to the skies,
Breathe in that cold winter air,
Clear that head of yours and realise,
There will always be enough time.

Turn around and look to the skies,
Breathe in that cold winter air,
Clear that head of yours and realise,
There will always be enough time.

When dawn breaks on your eyes,
And you squint at the thought of the day,
Remember I’m there for you darling,
Waiting with you all of the way,
Waiting with you all of the way,
I’m waiting with you all of the way.
Track Name: I Wish My Baby Was Born
I Wish My Baby Was Born - Traditional

I wish, I wish my baby was born
And sittin' on its papa's knee
And me, poor girl, were dead and gone
And the green grass growin' o'er my feet

I ain't ahead, nor never will be
'Till the sweet apple grows
On a the sour apple tree

I wish I wish my love had died
And sent his soul to wander free
Then we might where ravens fly
Let our poor bodies rest in peace

But still I hope the time will come
When you and I shall be as one

The owl, the owl Is a lonely bird
It chills my heart with dread and terror
That someone's blood there on his wings
That someone's blood there on his feathers
That someone's blood there on his feathers
Track Name: Pretty Crowing Chicken
Pretty Crowing Chicken - Traditional

The moon it shines bright, and the stars they give light,
While this fair miss she wearies alone.
There's something in the way that causes him to stay,
While this fair miss she wearies alone, 'lone, 'lone,
While this fair miss she wearies alone.

Her old true love come at last, and he come very fast,
Come tripplin' through the plain.
The fair miss she rose, and she threw on her clothes,
For to let her old true lover in, in, in,
For to let her old true lover in.

“My pretty little chicken, my pretty crowin' chicken,
Don't you crow before day.
I'll make you the wings of a beading yeller gold,
And your comb of the silver so gay, gay, gay,
And your comb of the silver so gay.”

This chicken proved false-hearted,
And crowed one hour too soon.
She sent her love away, before it had come day,
And he travelled by the light of the moon, moon, moon,
And he travelled by the light of the moon.

She saddled up her milk white steed,
On the tow her dapple grey.
She rode through the dark wilderness,
At the length of a long summer day, day, day,
At the length of a long summer day.

“My old true love, my sweet turtledove,
When shall I see you again?”
“When the moon and the stars enters in yonders green,
And the sky, it shall shed no more rain, rain, rain,
And the sky, it shall shed no more rain.”
Track Name: Sitting On Top Of The World
Sitting On Top Of The World - Traditional

Was in the spring one sunny day,
My good gal left me, she went away,
And now she's gone but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

She called me up, down in El Paso,
Said come back daddy, I need you so
But now she's gone, and I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

Mississippi river, long deep and wide,
The woman I'm loving, is on the other side,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
Show me a woman, a man can trust,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

You don't like my peaches, don't shake my tree,
Get outta my orchard, let my peaches be,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

Don't you come running, holding out your hand,
I get me a woman, like you got your man,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

Went to the station, down in the yard,
Gonna get me a freight train, worked and got to home,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.

Those lonesome days, they have gone by,
Why should you beg me, oh say goodbye,
And now she's gone, but I don't worry,
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world.
